What is your safety policy?

grooming is not one size fits all. every dog comes to us is an individual and we strive to recognize that. in order to keep all the dogs (and ourselves) safe, we have a safety policy in place.

our saftey policy is if a dog starts to become overly stressed, anxious, aggressive, or even overly silly, we slow things down and work on whatever is causing them to feel such a way.

we may elect to stop the service at any time if we feel that is in the best interest of your dog. dogs cannot consent, but they can most certainly refuse. we are not here to push your dog through stressful experiences to "just get it done;" we are here to provide a safe grooming environment in which your dog feels comfortable and trusts the hands that handle them.

What are the vaccination requirements?

all dogs are required to be up to date on their Bordetella and DHPP vaccination. all dogs over 16 weeks of age are also required to be up to date on their rabies vaccination. proof of vaccinations from your vet are required prior to service.

How long will my dog’s appointment last?

timing varies based on your dog’s size, coat type, coat condition, and how much we cuddle. we ask:

1 to 2 hours for a Scrub a Dub Dog

2 to 3 hours for a Scrub Down, Tidy Up

3 to 5 hours for A Hairy Affair

What is included in a Scrub a Dub Dog?

this is our bath service. it includes a bath with a shampoo and conditioner tailored to your dog’s skin and coat needs, a blueberry facial, a hand dry, brushing, ear cleaning, teeth brushing*, and nail services**.

What is included in Scrub Down, Tidy Up?

this is our bath and tidy service. it includes a bath with a shampoo and conditioner tailored to your dog’s skin and coat needs, a blueberry facial, a hand dry, brushing, ear cleaning, teeth brushing*, nail services**, and light trimming of the face and feet.

What is included in A Hairy Affair?

this is our full groom service includes a bath with a shampoo and conditioner tailored to your dog’s skin and coat needs, a blueberry facial, a hand dry, brushing, ear cleaning, teeth brushing*, nail services**, and a full body hair cut with length taken off all over.

because grooming is not one size fits all, here is a little fine print:

*regarding dogs with sensitive teeth, teethbrushing may be withheld if we believe it might cause undue stress or pain.

**we believe nail grinding is the best way to maintain your dog’s nails. it provides a smooth finish and allows us to get their nails as short as safely possible. however, foot-sensitive dogs may be intimidated by this process. in this instance, we would instead trim their nails and give you homework so we can work towards nail grinding for future appointments.

How does pricing work?

we price based on your dog’s size, coat type, and coat condition. we do our best to provide an accurate price quote when you make your appointment, however we are unable to provide exact pricing before meeting your pup. pricing may fluctuate based on the time and skill required for your dog.

What forms of payment do you accept?

we accept cash, credit and debit cards, and checks.

Your services include a blueberry facial. What if I’m allergic to blueberries?

we are sad to hear you’re missing out on the delightful taste of blueberries, but worry not! we have hypoallergenic (i.e. blueberry free) options available at no additional cost to you. simply let us know when you drop off your pup and we’ll take care of the rest.
